TAHA is an apex member based private sector organization that advocates for the growth of the horticulture industry in Tanzania, mainly by: enhancing the business environment, increasing access to market and increasing competitiveness and productivity.

TAHA Research and Information Resource Centre (TARIC) is an information powerhouse designed to act as a central information dissemination unit and resource center for all stakeholders in horticultural industry.

Through this Centre, horticultural industry data will be collected, processed, stored and disseminated to stakeholders through the Web and Mobile apps. TAHA has already established some digital platforms that will be part and parcel of TARIC. These include the Market Information System (MIS), TAHA website, twitter, Instagram and YouTube pages.

TARIC aims at building the capacity of the horticulture industry in the country by transferring the data information and relevant content, such as: production manuals and training materials, market information; including prices, value-chain actors directorate, nutrition information and business environment aspects from our in-house archive to the wider public in order to contribute to the knowledge base of the industry actors and potential investors; in making viable business or project related decisions.
